Who we are

Jamun Living is the trading name of a furniture design and manufacturing business based in Jodhpur, India. We make solid-wood furniture to order, primarily for retail customers in India and trade customers worldwide. You can reach us at hello@jamunliving.com.

What information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you, fulfil orders, and run the site.

Contact information you provide. When you write to us through the contact form, WhatsApp, email, or phone, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message.

Project information. If you commission a piece, we collect any drawings, references, dimensions, addresses, and other project details you share with us.

Cookies and analytics. With your consent, we use cookies to understand how the site is used. We do not use cookies to identify individual visitors.

Why we collect it (and on what legal basis)

To respond to your inquiries — based on your request to be contacted.
To prepare quotes, manage orders, and arrange delivery — based on our contract with you, or steps to enter into one.
To send you order updates by email or WhatsApp — based on our contract with you.
To improve the site over time — based on your consent to analytics cookies.
To comply with legal obligations (tax, customs, accounting) — based on our legal obligations.

How long we keep it

Inquiry correspondence: 24 months after the last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Order records: 7 years, as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Analytics data: 14 months (aggregated, not identifiable).
Cookies: as defined in the Cookie Preferences panel.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site and our business: an email-hosting provider, a website-hosting provider, an analytics provider (only with your consent), logistics partners (for shipping orders), payment processors (if an order is paid online), and government authorities where legally required (tax filings, customs declarations).

Where your information goes

Our workshop and business are in India. Some of our service providers may store data outside India, including in the European Union and the United States. Where this happens, we ensure those providers offer comparable protections to those required in your jurisdiction.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the information we hold about you.
Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
Ask us to delete your information.
Ask us to stop processing it.
Receive your information in a portable format.
Withdraw your consent for anything we asked permission for.
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Residents of the EU, UK, California, and India have specific statutory rights under GDPR, UK-GDPR, CCPA, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 respectively. To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@jamunliving.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

Children

The site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections, access controls, and limited internal access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect what you share with us. If a data breach affects your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects any changes. If we make material changes, we'll notify you directly where we have your contact information.
